100 Themes Challenge
I stumbled upon this thing called the 100 Themes Challenge, which is a group that has 5 "variations" or lists of words and phrases that act as prompts to the artist's work.
I have decided to take part because I like challenges and I have a couple of art shows to get ready for in the fall. The idea of having 100 pieces ready to divide into two galleries and a weekend show is very appealing. But I really want to stick to my realism-guns, which means I need to spend about 8-20 hours on each of them, or basically, I got to crank one out each day or so. Granted, I know some will take longer than others, and that is okay. There's no time limit on this challenge and I don't have to have 100 pieces for the upcoming shows, though that would be nice. I have other work already available, anyway, as long as they are not sold beforehand.

I have decided to take part because I like challenges and I have a couple of art shows to get ready for in the fall. Lucky Feature Contest Winner: Gone
Well, the sixth edition to the 100 Themes Challenge has been posted, and therefore, it is time to select a winner...who came closest to the picking "Light"? Here are the results:

Well...we only had one guess since April! How sad! I guess it's partly my fault for not promoting it more and being rather absent from DA during that time. It was a busy summer. My husband and I just bought a house in May, and it has been a race to get all the odds and ins sorted out before winter- the real test for your house. We think we are prepared- and I actually have another Theme completed to, "No Way Out" but when I upload it soon, I will not include it in the competition this time. But this time, the ever-faithful ~LovesDogs is the winner! I think it is well deserved!
Going with her screenname, I'm going to stick with her dog drawings!

If you're wondering why you haven't seen anything new in the last couple of weeks- it's because my husband and I are buying a house- and that is very time-consuming because we are trying to go through the process very quick. If you're wondering why you haven't seen anything new in the last couple of weeks- it's because my husband and I are buying a house- and that is very time-consuming because we are trying to go through the process very quick. But I am working on my latest piece an hour a day or more- so hopefully it will be done soon. Happy guessing!
I have decided to take part because I like challenges and I have a couple of art shows to get ready for in the fall. The idea of having 100 pieces ready to divide into two galleries and a weekend show is very appealing. But I really want to stick to my realism-guns, which means I need to spend about 8-20 hours on each of them, or basically, I got to crank one out each day or so. Granted, I know some will take longer than others, and that is okay. There's no time limit on this challenge and I don't have to have 100 pieces for the upcoming shows, though that would be nice. I have other work already available, anyway, as long as they are not sold beforehand.
